NAMILCO pledges support to GRFU

The National Milling Company (NAMILCO), has announced its support for the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU), a move that is expected to boost the development of rugby in the country.

 

The partnership between Namilco and the GRFU was officially launched in a ceremony at the in Georgetown, Guyana.

 

In attendance were representatives from Namilco, the GRFU, and members of the rugby community.

 

NAMILCO’s representative, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting sports and youth development in Guyana, noting that the partnership with the GRFU was a natural fit for Namilco, given the company’s longstanding support for community-based initiatives.

 

The partnership will see Namilco providing financial and other resources to the GRFU to support the development of rugby at all levels.

 

In response, the Secretary of the GRFU, Troy Yhip, expressed his gratitude to Namilco for their support. He noted that the partnership would go a long way in helping the GRFU achieve its goals of developing rugby in Guyana and building a stronger rugby community.

 

The partnership between Namilco and the GRFU is expected to have a positive impact on rugby development in Guyana. With the backing of a leading company like Namilco, the GRFU will be better positioned to develop the sport and create opportunities for young people to participate in rugby at all levels.
