Missing 14-Y-O girl found in Sophia

A 14-year-old girl from Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, who was reported missing earlier this week, has been found, police have confirmed.

 

According to police, the teen was reported missing by her father at the Guyana Police Force’s Sparendaam Police Station on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

 

Further enquiries revealed that she was located on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at approximately 01:37 hrs at ‘D’ Field, Sophia Squatting Area. Police said the girl had been staying with a 17-year-old female friend.

 

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
