‘Lilawattie” Charged in $3M Car Theft, Hospital Property Damage Case

September 10 2025
Twenty-two-year-old Orin Fraser, known as “Lilawattie,” appeared before Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Wednesday to answer two separate charges.
One charge accuses him of stealing a $3 million motorcar, along with cash and a cellphone, while the other relates to damaging property at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Fraser, a sex worker of Princes and Haley Streets, Wortmanville, Georgetown, is accused of stealing a brown motorcar, registration number PAK 537, valued at $3 million, along with $45,000 in cash and a smartphone worth $40,000, on August 27 at King Street, and North Road, Georgetown.
The accused entered a not-guilty plea, insisting that both the car and the smartphone had been returned.
He further told the court that he had partially compensated the complainant, handing over $20,000 of a $40,000 sum, with the promise to pay the balance in September.
While the complainant confirmed receiving the car and part of the cash, he maintained that the cellphone was never recovered.
In a separate case, Fraser pleaded guilty to damage to property at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) on September 7.
The court was told that he destroyed a computer monitor valued at between $4,000 and $5,000.
Offering an explanation, Fraser said he went to the hospital seeking medical treatment to flush ecstasy from his system when a security officer allegedly assaulted him.
He claimed that, under the influence of drugs and alcohol, he could not remember throwing anything but conceded that the monitor might have been broken in the scuffle.
Chief Magistrate McGusty imposed a $50,000 fine with an alternative of two months in prison for the hospital incident.
On the larceny charge, Fraser was released on $75,000 bail, despite objections from the prosecution.
Fraser, no stranger to the courts, will return on October 1 when the matters are expected to continue.
