Lash to head over biscuits; ‘lasher’ gets charged for attempted murder

CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER: Ayodele Gray 

Forty-Three-year-old Ayodele Gray the man who lashed his drinking buddy , Kurt Stephney unconscious last week during an argument over biscuits was on Friday hauled before the court.

Gray was charged with attempted murder and placed on $500,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Ester Sam at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court.

The accused was not represented by an attorney when he made his court appearance on Friday last.

It was reported to the court that on May 01, 2021, Grey assaulted twenty-four-year-old Kurt Stephney with intent to commit murder.

As a condition to his bail, the accused is mandated to check in with the police in person each Monday and Friday at 09:00hrs to the Suddie Police Station. His next court appearance is June 01, 2021.
