Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha held meetings with investors from Brazil and China to discuss possible areas for development in Guyana’s Agriculture sector.

While meeting with the Brazilian delegation, Minister Mustapha discussed further cooperation to develop Guyana’s cattle and crops sector.

During the meeting with the Chinese delegation, the team discussed the possibility of establishing a factory to produce fertilizer to satisfy local and regional demand.

Minister Mustapha informed both teams that Guyana’s agriculture was evolving and is expected to experience massive growth over the next two years. He also said that Guyana continues to stand out as a regional powerhouse for agricultural development and food production.
