The Parika Station which is set for demolition, commencing Tuesday

Members of the public especially those in Region 3 are advised that on Tuesday, September 08, 2020, a demolition exercise will commence at the Parika Police Station to facilitate the construction of a new building to house the police station and its services.

Persons desirous of accessing services of the police including traffic and making reports can do so by visiting a facility which is located two buildings west of the present police station building.

Services offered currently being offered at the existing building will be shifted two buildings down to a police complex which would act as a temporary police station.

Over the last few months, a number of police stations have been demolished and reconstructed while others have been renovated.

There are still a number of stations on the cards for overhauls as the Guyana Police Force and by extension central government seeks to ensure that the police officers are able to work in more comfortable spaces and that the public can also be properly accommodated when visiting police facilities to seek justice.
