Firearm, Ammo Discovered During Police Operation in Mocha

Police in Regional Division 4 ‘B’ have launched an investigation following the discovery of a suspected firearm and ammunition during an intelligence-led operation at Mocha/Arcadia, East Bank Demerara, on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

According to a police report, ranks conducting the operation observed an abandoned structure and carried out checks in the surrounding area. There, they found a black plastic bag containing a suspected 9mm pistol along with five live matching rounds.

The items were secured and lodged as evidence as the investigation continues.

No arrests have been made.
