Director of Sports congratulates Rosanna Fung on IFBB World Championship

Director of Sport, Steve Ninvalle, congratulated Rosanna Fung for her historic win at the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) World Championship that took place at the prestigious Binous Classics in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where Fung became the first athlete in Guyana’s history to claim a World Championship title.
Ninvalle hailed Fung’s triumph as “a proud moment” for Guyana, emphasizing that her success has dramatically increased the nation’s profile in international bodybuilding and showcased the immense potential of Guyanese athletes to shine on the global stage.
“The National Sports Commission (NSC) stands alongside the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, the Government of Guyana, and the people of Guyana in celebrating Rosanna’s remarkable achievement,” he stated.

Her incredible poise, symmetry, conditioning, and commanding stage presence captivated judges and spectators alike, securing her the coveted gold medal; a first for Guyana at the IFBB World Championship level.
