A small aircraft which was said to be performing medical functions on behalf of the Seventh Days Adventist denomination has crashed on the West Bank of Demerara.

According to information reaching the Big Smith Crime Watch, there have been no deaths reported at this time.

We were informed that the crash took place somewhere in the vicinity of Canal No. 2 in close proximity to the Water Conservancy.

Police and other medical and emergency rescue teams are on the ground as they prepare to make their way to the crash site.

Information suggest the plane was performing a medevac exercise and it is reported that the body of a man was also on board the plane when it crashed.

There are reports that the small plane might have ran out of fuel in mid-air resulting it it falling out the sky.

It is unclear how that is even possible if the checks and balances were carried out before the plane departed for its Georgetown destination.

The BIG Smith Crime Watch will proved additional information on this development as it as becomes available,
