Up to press time, when this publication received the information about the presence of the remains, the men told us that it was still floating in the area.

One worker informed BIG Smith News Watch that contact was made with a police officer (number provided) who was told of the discovery and who made a commitment to pass the information to his superiors, but at this hour, the remains of the baby are still in the Demerara River.

We were informed by the men on the boat that after realizing that no one came to remove the baby, they decided to reach out to the media.

They described the general area as being the wharf opposite the Friendship Primary School, just next to the Guyoil Gas Station.
