The event was well attended by Bartenders from all over Guyana

World Bartenders’ Day is celebrated across the globe every year on February 24.

Bartenders are indispensable to the hospitality industry, and Ansa McAl through their Bacardi and Dewar’s brands decided to host an event to show their appreciation to local mixologists, and build their capacity.

The event was two-pronged, it began with a Brunch that featured the talented Guitarist/Singer Abel Stokes providing entertainment, followed by an international training to help local bartenders better serve their patrons, which of course, was free of cost.

Director of Marketing at Ansa McAl Guyana, Troy Cadagon during his brief remarks highlighted that, “Bartenders are partners with us and we want to ensure that you (Bartenders) give customers the best possible experience. We think you can easily do that  if we give you the tools (through the training) to boost performances.”

Head of Human Resources; Kara Boyce, noted that, “We recognise how important bartenders are in our business, they continuously contribute to our objectives of being the number one distributor in the country and making sure that consumers have a great experience so we thought it was important that we honour them.”

In addition to the Brunch, entertainment and training, each Bartender received a hamper from the event.
