AGRI Minister Meets with Farmers and Residents of Victoria Village
Zulfikar Mustapha, Minister of Agriculture, along with his team, met with farmers and residents of Victoria Village, East Coast Demerara (ECD) yesterday.
During the meeting, Minister Mustapha outlined the government’s ongoing plans for the area, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to supporting local agriculture.
Minister Mustapha assured the farmers that additional drainage and irrigation services will be provided to enhance their farming conditions.
He also announced that land clearing efforts will be undertaken to further assist them. Furthermore, the Minister noted that a team will revisit the area soon to provide small farming equipment, tools, and other resources to boost productivity and support the farmers’ needs.
