“Grey Boy” pleads not guilty to murdering Crum-Ewing

45-year-old Regan Rodrigues this morning pleaded not guilty to a charge which alleged that on March 10, 2015, at Diamond, East Bank Demerara, he murdered political activist Courtney Crume-Ewing.
Rodrigues called “Grey Boy” formerly of Riverview, Ruimveldt, Georgetown was arraigned before Justice Sandil Kissoon and a 12-member jury at the High Court in Demerara. His trial has commenced.
Rodrigues is being represented by Attorney-at-Law Adrian Thompson, while the case for the prosecution is being presented by State Counsel Lisa Cave.
According to reports, Crum-Ewing, a father of three, was gunned down at Third Avenue, Diamond while urging residents to vote at the May 2015 General and Regional Elections.
Police Headquarters in a statement on the killing had said that Crum-Ewing was accosted by four men, one of whom shot him several times about the body with a .32 pistol.
