71-Y-O Found with throat slit, daughter and reputed husband detained

The police in Berbice have arrested a common law couple for questioning after the mother of the female was found dead in her Tempe, West Coast Berbice Home on Friday evening.

The body of 71 year old Rookmin Jameer was found in a pool of blood days after her daughter who is now in custody, reportedly threatened to kill her, this was confirmed by relatives.

During a visit to the community this morning, the BIG Smith Crime Watch was told that a few days ago the woman telephoned her eldest son and asked him and his wife to come to the house.
