EVERYONE SMILING: The GPF’s Top Three

The administration of the Guyana Police Force has taken a decision to go ahead and reinstate the twenty+ junior ranks whose promotions were rescinded last week.

Last week the ranks who were named on a supplementary junior promotion list had their promotions reversed by Commissioner of Police Nigel Hoppie.

Following that move, Minister of Home Affairs Robeson Benn met with the administration of the force on the issue.

On Friday he told the media that he requested the lists of both senior officers and junior ranks with a view of reviewing same.

Benn did state that his request of the lists was to review them with a view of arriving at a conclusion that is favourable to all.

Now that the rescinded promotions have been reversed, everyone can now walk walk away smiling.
