A 41-year-old pork knocker lost his life following a confrontation with his 26-year-old nephew at 14 Miles, Arakaka, North West District, on Tuesday morning.

Dead is Morvin George, who was reportedly involved in an argument with his nephew around 8:40 a.m. on September 29. The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation, during which George sustained injuries to his body.

He subsequently became motionless.

A doctor who examined George at the scene pronounced him dead.

His body was later taken to the Matthew’s Ridge Hospital Mortuary, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.

The 26-year-old nephew has been taken into custody as investigations continue.

A cutlass and a piece of wood were recovered at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the confrontation and George’s death remain under investigation.
