Record-breaking King leads Guyana to 21-medal finish in Chile

International debutant Tremel King delivered a record-setting performance as Guyana concluded the South American Powerlifting Championships with 21 medals.
Competing in the 105kg Masters 1 category, King established Fesupo records with a 300kg deadlift and a 747.5kg total. He collected gold in the squat, deadlift and overall standings, along with bench-press silver.
Bjorn Williams completed a Guyana one-two finish by securing overall silver with 692.5kg. He also earned deadlift silver and bench-press bronze.
Guyana ended the championships with six gold, 10 silver and five bronze medals.
