A post-mortem examination has revealed that Andries Allicock, the 42-year-old Amelia’s Ward resident whose body was discovered along Chiney Road West, Moblissa, was shot in the head and badly beaten before his death.

Allicock, also known as “Federal”, was found on Saturday, July 4, 2026, by a passerby along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, prompting a murder investigation.

The Central Amelia’s Ward resident’s body was discovered at about 8:30 a.m. after a resident walking along Chiney Road West noticed him lying motionless and alerted the authorities.

When investigators arrived at the scene, several injuries were observed on the body. It was transported to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was pronounced dead, before being taken to G-Jetsco Funeral Home.

The findings from the post-mortem have since confirmed that Allicock suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, along with injuries consistent with a beating.

Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding his death, including reports that he may have been killed elsewhere before his body was transported to Moblissa.

Several persons have been questioned as the investigation continues.
