Hadfield St woman busted with 5lbs cannabis

Police are investigating the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis found during an operation at an apartment building on Hadfield Street, Lodge, Georgetown, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at around 19:30 hrs.
During the exercise, ranks conducted a search of the yard at the premises, where they uncovered seven large transparent plastic bags containing leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis.
The items were reportedly concealed inside a haversack hidden among plants at the rear of the property.
A 36-year-old female security officer who resides at the apartment and was present at the time was arrested and taken into custody as investigations continue.
The suspected narcotics were weighed in the woman’s presence and amounted to 5.70 pounds before being lodged as evidence.
The suspect remains in police custody as authorities continue their probe into the matter.
