A 28-year-old Linden woman has been charged with manslaughter following her arrest earlier this week.

Oyanna Stewart, an unemployed resident of Lot 158 Block 22, Wismar, Linden, was arrested on November 10, 2025, and later charged with Manslaughter.

Stewart appeared before Magistrate Rushelle Liverpool at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on November 14, where the charge was read to her. As the offence is indictable, she was not required to enter a plea.

The court granted bail in the sum of $600,000. The case has been adjourned to December 18, 2025.

Stewart is accused of stabbing her boyfriend, 30-year-old carpenter Kevin Alexander, at their shared residence around 9:45 p.m. on Monday.

According to investigators, the couple became involved in an argument during which the 28-year-old woman allegedly inflicted a single stab wound to Alexander’s abdomen.
