Residents of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, benefited from a community outreach led by Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning, Keoma Griffith.

The initiative sought to bring the Ministry’s services directly to the community, with discussions centering on access to training and employment opportunities, as well as critical concerns such as drainage cleaning and maintenance.

Minister Griffith was supported by a technical team that included Dr. Josh Kanhai, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, along with representatives from the Labour Department, the Central Recruitment and Manpower Agency (CRMA), the Board of Industrial Training (BIT), the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Department, and the Department of Co-operatives and Friendly Societies.

The outreach also saw participation from Men on Mission (MoM), East and West Ruimveldt councillors, and other community stakeholders.
