October 7 2024 – A new fashion brand and management company, God’s Do Mingle (GDM), is looking to make waves in the local fashion industry.

Based in both New York and Guyana, GDM, founded in 2021, offers high-quality formal, sports, and casual wear for men while also serving as a model management agency.

The company’s ambition is to groom both male and female models for the runway, with a vision to have them featured in shows both locally and internationally.

GDM was inspired by a passion for sports. The founder, an avid football supporter, first ventured into the fashion world by sponsoring uniforms for a local football team.

After receiving praise for the quality of the designs, the idea evolved into a larger venture aimed at outfitting men not just for the field but for all aspects of life, leading to the formation of the GDM brand.

Recently, GDM achieved a significant milestone by being featured in New York Fashion Week for the first time, showcasing its designs on an international stage.

This debut marked a proud moment for the brand’s founders and directors as they displayed their work on a prominent runway.

Locally, GDM is set to make its Guyanese debut on November 1, 2024, at the Guyana Marriott Hotel, during a fashion show and gala titled “Deities Ensembled.”

The event will feature a variety of local designers and models, further solidifying GDM’s commitment to elevating the local fashion scene.

Looking ahead, GDM plans to expand its presence in Guyana by opening several retail stores and launching an online platform. This platform will allow customers to browse and purchase their clothing collections, which include attire for sports, leisure, and formal events.

Despite the competitive nature of the fashion industry, GDM believes there is room for everyone. “Our advice to aspiring fashion management companies is simple: just do it! The road may be tough, but with hard work and perseverance, success is achievable,” the company stated. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, GDM aims to fill a gap in Guyana’s fashion market and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
