Minister of Natural Resources Engages Miners in Karouni/14 Miles Issano Area Allotment

On June 12, 2024, Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat, held a stakeholder engagement with miners awarded land allotments in the Karouni/14 Miles Issano area, previously held by Troy Resources Guyana Inc.

The meeting took place at the Guyana Forestry Commission Multiplex.

Joining Minister Bharrat were Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Joslyn McKenzie, Commissioner of the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC), Mr. Newell Dennison, along with other senior officials from the Ministry and GGMC. The session aimed to address concerns and discuss future plans for the newly allocated mining lands.
