In observance of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence, Women Across Differences – WAD has been presented with the European Union (EU) Delegation’s Human Rights Award this year, for the outstanding work they do in empowering teenage mothers here in Guyana.

Clonel Samuels-Boston, representing WAD, accepted the award and allowed a few of the women she’s worked with to share their experiences.

The presentation ceremony was held on Wednesday at The Georgetown Club.
