Decomposing body found at Bartica

Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the death of Shawn Marshall, a 43-year-old Mechanic of Lot 43 Fifth Avenue, Bartica, whose decomposing body was discovered under a bed this morning by his brother.

 

Enquiries disclosed that the deceased man had Epilepsy and was also an alcoholic and drug addict, according to his father, Winston Marshall, who last saw him in alive on September 3.

 

At about 02:30 hrs Wednesday, the man’s brother who works long periods in the interior, Aubrey Marshall, came home from work and discovered a foul scent from the apartment where his brother Shawn Marshall lived.

 

Upon checking, he discovered the body of his brother under his bed in a decomposed state.

 

The Police were informed, and are reporting that the body was found clad in black jeans, lying face down under a bed. While the body was bloated and in a state of decomposition, no marks of violence were visible.

 

Investigation are ongoing.
