Former policeman wanted for murder at Seetat’s Bar

WANTED FOR MURDER: Former Policeman Keon David

The Guyana Police Force on Monday issued a wanted bulletin for a man, Keon David who they claim is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of 32 year old Kurt Anthony Duncan of Sophia who was gunned down Monday morning at Seetat’s Bar in Station Street Kitty.

What was interesting about the wanted bulletin is that the force did not see the need to inform that the wanted man was actually a member of the police force. Efforts to officially confirm why the man is no longer a member of the force were futile.

However sources within the force later confirmed that Keon David was last stationed at the Timehri Police Station but was dismissed after he stay away from the job for prolonged periods. It is said that he also had in excess of thirty charges but still managed to remain within the employ of the force. One serving member of the force when asked stated “The man money rite budday”

David the police in their bulletin noted; is 32 yer old and has his last known address listed as Sophia Greater Georgetown. 

32 year old Kurt Daniel was shot and killed at the Seeta’s Bar at approximately 02:07 hrs on Monday when he intervened in a fight which broke out between a cleaner of the bar and another person as the bar was preparing to be closed off.

During the fight, the suspect, Keon David who was sitting close-by is said to be associated with the male who got into the fight with the female cleaner at the establishment. He, David then whipped out a firearm and shot his victim before fleeing the scene.

However person who were till at the bar at the time managed to provide the police with a description of the shooter even the CCTV footage from the premises was reviewed by the police detectives.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of KEON DAVID is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 226-1389, 226-7476, 226-7065, 226-6221, 227-2603, 227-1611, 227-1149, 227-1270, 225-6940 to 9, 225-3650, 226-1928, 911 or the nearest police station.
