The Black Entrepreneurs Association (BEA) has launched the inaugural “Emancipation Pitch” business competition.

At a press conference today at the Herdmanston Lodge, Georgetown, executive members of the BEA noted that this will commemorate the upcoming Emancipation celebrations as the “Emancipation Pitch” seeks to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by providing an empowering platform for aspiring Afro-Guyanese entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas.

With over $2 Million dollars in cash and prizes to be won, this competition, will prove to be very beneficial to those who are planning to enter.

Deadline for the applications is July 6, and the competition is open to all members of the business community who are of Afro-Guyanese heritage.

Shortlisted candidates will be given the opportunity to “pitch” their businesses to the judges within 5-6 minutes as they compete for the prize.

The competition will be held on August 5 at the Herdmanston Lodge.

The BEA believes that this competition will fuel the entrepreneurial spirit, inspire the next generation of business leaders, and contribute positively to the economy.
