The Protected Areas Commission (PAC) is warning persons against unauthorized vending in the Botanical Gardens and the Guyana Zoological Park and Wildlife Rescue Centre which opens on Monday April 4, 2022.

In a Notice, the PAC said the facility will reopen to the public as it welcomes back persons to its “green spaces.”

The facility was closed to the public as a result of measures implemented to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Government of Guyana recently relaxed the measures as the vaccination rate increases.
