‘Husband’ and friend sent to jail for murder of woman

'Husband' and friend sent to jail for murder of woman

The police are reporting that two men including the reputed husband of a woman were today remanded to jail for the murder of Edit Reuben.

The two were remanded to jail by Magistrate Judy Latchman after they were charged by the police and placed before the court.

41-Year-Old Dianand Lakhan of 1286 Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke Linden Highway, and 36-Year-Old Aubrey Williams of Yarrowkabra Squatting area became suspects in the police investigation after a postmortem found that the woman who was found hanging, was actually killed from asphyxiation and blunt trauma to the head.

They were jointly charged for murder and will make their next court appearance on  2022-03-03.
