Queen’s College students top CSEC, CAPE

The top student at this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) is Ms. Sarena Aruna Razak who copped 19 Grade Ones, two Grade Twos and one Grade Three. The results of the examinations were announced on Friday morning by Minister of Education Priya Manickchand at the National Centre for Educational Research Development (NCERD).

Coming in second is La Shea Chelsea with 18 Grade Ones followed by Zaynab Ziyarah Shaffie with 18 Ones and 2 Twos and Roshini Samaroo with 17 Ones; they also attend Queen’s College.

Anuradha Basdeo of Abram Zuil Secondary in Region Two copped 17 Grade Ones and 2 Grade Twos followed by five students from the Saraswati Vidya Nikitan and one from Anna Regina Secondary.

For 2021 176 Candidates attained eight or more Grade Ones with 47 candidates gaining 12 or more Grade Ones.

The Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examination (CAPE) candidate with the most Grade Ones is Daniel Roopchand of Queen’s College who achieved 10 Grade ones and one Grade Two.

He was followed by Samuel Haynes, also of Queen’s College and Atishta Seenarine of Saraswati Vidya Nakitan, who attained nine Grade Ones.
