Albouystown women remanded over marijuana find

Two women were refused bail and remanded to prison the 20th August when they appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Friday.

24 years old Shantell Evans and 19 years old Timhara Evans were arrested and charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking according to the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit in a release.

CANU Officers found two black plastic bags containing cannabis, weighing 518.07 grams and a scale at a two- storey apartment building located at lot 169 James Street Albouystown the release said.
