Division 4C records 139 TRAFFIC INFRACTIONS IN A DAY

In an effort to curb road fatalities and enforce traffic regulation, Division 4 (C) held a robust traffic enforcement where 139 traffic cases were made.

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) is reporting that this is the highest number of cases ever made in the division in a day.

The Police stations of Division 4 (C) who were actively involved are: Sparendaam Police Station with 31 cases, Beterverwagting Police Station with 65 cases, Vigilance Police Station with 13 cases, Cove and John Police Station with 16 cases and Mahaica Police Station with 14 cases.

The infractions are as follows:

 

Speeding: 77

Unlicensed driver: One

Unlicensed Motor Vehicle: Three

Breach of Insurance: Two

Failure to wear a seat belt: Eight

Faulty packing: Two

Failure to adhere to signs: Two

Obscured ID Mark:  One

Tinted motor vehicle: 20

Uncertified motor vehicle: One

Uninsured Motor vehicle: One

Maintenance of motor vehicle: Three

Riding motor cycle without a safety helmet: One

Breach of insurance: One

Breach of Traffic light signal: One

Fail to produce driver’s license: One

Dangerous driving:  Two

No reflecting mirror: Two

Conductor overload: Three

Crossing solid double yellow lines: Five
