A taxi driver identified as Delon Josiah was on Saturday evening shot and killed execution style in his Sorrel Drive Perseverance home, Providence, East Bank Demerara.

On the scene this evening, persons indicated that two men on a motorcycle showed up at the man’s home.

At the time, his wife was in the patio and the gunmen enquired of her about Josiah.

The woman reportedly said he was not at home but the men asked how he is not at home but his car is parked in-front of the home.

The gunmen then entered the yard, forced their way into the house and shot the man in the presence of his wife and children.

Persons in the area said the family moved into the community a few months back but are very private private.

Police Detectives were told by the man’s wife that they saw at least two spend shells. She said her husband was shot to the head.

At the moment, police detectives are on the ground conducting their investigations even as forensic personnel comb the area for any clues.

There are several buildings within the general area with CCTV cameras which the police are expected to review for any clues that may be able to assist them in their probe.
