Unitech employee dies in Vryheids Lust crash

A Saturday night accident along the East Coast Demerara has claimed the life of Unitech Solutions employee Zahair Khan.
The accident occurred on August 15 near Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara, when the car in which Khan was travelling reportedly slammed into a median before overturning.
Khan and the driver were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) for medical attention. Khan succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.
The driver, who reportedly sustained minor injuries, was treated and discharged from hospital before being taken into police custody.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are ongoing.
