NIS worker drops dead at work

DEAD: Shovon Gomes

A National Insurance Scheme staff yesterday collapsed and died at the Camp and Bent Streets Location shortly after complaining of feeling unwell. Dead is 31-year old Shovon Gomes who worked as a part of a maintenance team at NIS.

This publication was told that since Wednesday Gomes told co-workers that he was not feeling well and again on Thursday. He complained of stomach pains and suggested that he might be having wind pain.

BIG Smith News Watch was told that as the staff was preparing to leave on Thursday afternoon, the 31-year-old collapsed suddenly, forcing colleagues to summon the paramedics who arrived promptly but failed to revive the unresponsive 31-year-old.

He has been working with the National Insurance Scheme for more than five years and was described as a well-loved employee by his colleagues who spoke with this publication.
