Linden man found murdered after visiting mom

The body of Williams being removed by undertakers on Friday morning

Police in Linden are probing the death of Dwane Williams called ‘Levi’ or ‘Sweetie’ of Lot 52 Wismar Linden Housing Scheme.

BIG Smith News Watch has been told that the 54-year-old self-employed vendor who resides alone might have been killed sometime between 21:00hours on Thursday evening and 05:45hours Friday morning.

According to information received, the man’s nephew, Collin Williams told detectives that Dwane visited his 88-year-old mother where he spent some time with her before informing her that he was leaving to go home and cook.

The young man related that on Friday morning he received information about the body of a deceased lying behind a shack. As crime scene detectives examined the remains, they found a gaping wound to the throat of the deceased and another one to his wrist.

A knife was also found in close proximity to the crime scene which detectives believed to be the murder weapon. The police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
