Homestretch crash claims second victim

The crash that took place this morning on Homestretch crash that took place this morning on Homestretch  Avenue has claimed another life, sources have confirmed.

The latest victim has been identified as 18 year old Tonika Halley of Phase 2 East LaPenitence.

Halley’s boyfriend, 22 year old Joel Rose also of Phase 2 East LaPenitence Squatting and Troy Glen 21 of 143 Laing Avenue are still said to be in serious conditions at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Early this morning, the quart including the now dead Dakera Gittings who was killed on the spot, were heading east along Homestretch Avenue when the crash took place.

we were told that they wee heading to drop Gittings home when the driver of the car lost control and slammed into a utility pole before the car turned turtle in a trench.

A utility pole with transformer and power lines were brought down as a result of the impact.

EMTs arrived at the scene and stabilised the injured while the undertakers removed the dead young man from the scene.

The investigations are ongoing.
