The Guyana Oil Company Limited (GUYOIL), has announced the introduction of its use of the Mobile Money Guyana (MMG), a mobile payment service.

This launch represents a significant milestone for both GUYOIL and the wider Guyanese community, as it brings enhanced convenience, security, and efficiency to fuel transactions.

In a statement released by GUYOIL, the company stated that as Guyana continues its growth trajectory, GUYOIL remains at the forefront of innovation, consistently striving to introduce new services and technologies that align with the evolving needs of the Guyanese community.

The eight GUYOIL service stations and depot where MMG will be available are Palmyra, Providence, Diamond, Regent Street, Sheriff Street, Victoria, Kitty, Heathburn and Adventure(depot).

With the introduction of this cutting-edge mobile payment solution, customers at these locations can now enjoy seamless transactions using their smartphones, thereby eliminating the need for physical cash or cards.

MMG offers a secure and user-friendly platform that enables customers to make fuel purchases swiftly and effortlessly, by simply downloading the MMG app, available for both iOS and Android devices, adding currency via top up at their many locations or mobile banking app.

The app provides real-time transaction updates, allowing users to conveniently track their purchase history and manage their expenses.

“We are thrilled to introduce Mobile Money Guyana at our company-owned service stations, as it aligns perfectly with our commitment to enhancing customer experience through innovation, This new mobile payment service empowers our customers with a convenient and secure way to make fuel purchases, streamlining their daily transactions and enabling them to fuel up quickly and efficiently.” said Ms. Molly Hassan, General Manager GUYOIL.

To ensure the widespread adoption of MMG, GUYOIL has invested in extensive training for its service station staff, ensuring that they are well-equipped to assist customers with any queries or concerns regarding the mobile payment service.

The launch of MMG at the GUYOIL service stations underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging technology to deliver cutting-edge solutions and elevate the customer experience.
