GPF victorious against Victoria!

In a dominant display, the Guyana Police Force FC annihilated the Victoria FC 7-0 in a thrilling match which saw Nicolas MacArthur score four goals, and Ronaldo Dover open the scoring.

Keswick Fraser and Ravi Coates also got on the scoresheet to complete the comprehensive victory.

The match started with Police FC on the front foot, as they took possession and created several early chances. It didn’t take long for them to break the deadlock, as Ronaldo Dover scored a well-placed shot from outside the box to give the home side an early lead.

Victoria FC tried to respond quickly, but were unable to break through the solid defense of the Police FC.

Instead, it was the home side who continued to create chances, with Nicolas MacArthur causing all sorts of problems for the Victoria FC defense.

MacArthur scored his first goal of the game in the 20th minute, as he calmly slotted the ball past the Victoria FC goalkeeper after receiving a perfectly weighted through ball from midfield.

MacArthur added three more goals to complete his poker, with goals coming from close range after some excellent build-up play from his teammates.

Keswin Fraser then got in on the act, scoring a well-placed shot inside the 18 yard to make it 5-0, while Ravi Coates completed the scoring with a late goal which was well taken and showcased his clinical finishing ability.

The final scoreline of 7-0 was a fair reflection of the dominance of Police FC, who thoroughly outplayed their opponents in every department.

The victory moves Police FC up to second place in the league table, equaled on points with leaders’ western tigers only trailing behind on goal difference.

With performances like these, they are confident of mounting a serious title challenge as the season progresses.

Victoria FC, on the other hand, will need to regroup quickly if they are to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
