Four drivers charged, licences suspended for dangerous driving

Four motorists were charged and penalised for dangerous driving offences following court proceedings on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
The drivers appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court in relation to offences committed along the Heroes Highway. The matters were heard by Magistrate Shivani Lallaram.
Mark Williams, the driver of motor car PAJ 2857, faced four counts of dangerous driving and one count of operating an unlicensed motor vehicle.
He was fined a total of $170,000 and his driver’s licence was suspended for three months.
Eon Bacchus, who was driving motor car PAD 3656, was charged with two counts of dangerous driving.
He was fined $80,000 and had his licence suspended for three months.
Derick Edwards, the driver of minibus BAG 7043, also faced two counts of dangerous driving.
He was fined $80,000, and his driver’s licence was suspended for three months.
Quincy Pinheiro, the driver of motor car PAK 9804, was charged with one count of dangerous driving.
He was fined $40,000 and received a three-month licence suspension.
The Traffic Department has again urged motorists to adhere to road safety regulations, warning that dangerous driving puts lives at risk and will continue to be dealt with firmly.
