CELAC Ministers of Agriculture meeting opens today.

The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) high-level Ministers of Agriculture meeting is being held at the Arthur Chung Conference Center.

 

President of Guyana Dr. Irfaan Ali, President of The Cooperative Republic of Guyana delivered the feature address at the opening ceremony earlier today.

 

In his address, the Head of State underscored the importance of education, and technology in developing the region’s food and nutrition security.

 

Agriculture Minister, Zulfikar Mustapha while offering opening remarks also spoke about the important role of every country in CELAC in advancing food and nutrition security efforts.
