Missing and feared dead: Collin Rodney

Police Detectives in Regional Division 4 ‘C’ are awaiting the arrival of their colleagues from the forensic unit of the Criminal Investigation Department in Georgetown to commence processing a crime scene where a torched car with a body inside was discovered.

Police sources have indicated that the body is suspected to be that of missing 36 year old Collin Rodney who went missing almost week ago while on his way to court to be cross examined by defendants in the murder trial of his cousin, Marlon Seon Rodney which took place earlier this year.

Rodney and his car vanished on the day he was supposed to show up in court to provide the last part of his evidence in the murder trial during the PI at the Georgetown Magistrates Court but was not heard from or seen since.

BIG Smith Crime Watch has been told that the discovery was made late this afternoon at Letter T, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, leading towards the seawalls.

The man was at the time of disappearance driving a sliver Grey Allion with registration number PRR 1076 and calls to his mobile device have all gone unanswered.

The mother of the still missing man related to members of the press that she believes the persons who are accused of the crime back in April of this year involving the cousin of Rodney, might have been able to get access to him.

Seon Rodney was the cousin of Collin Rodney, according to what was related after the murder, the young man managed to identify one of his killers before he passed away.

Osafa Grundell 39, and James Fraser 21 are on remand for the murder of Seon Rodney.

In April of this year, at Norton Street Lodge, seon was murdered while in a heated argument with one of the suspects while the other whipped out a gun and shot him.
