Chief Magistrate Ann McLennon has recused herself from hearing a case that was slated to be called in her courtroom this morning.

The case involved former Minister of Public Infrastructure David Patterson and General Manager of the Demerara Harbour Bridge Rolston Adams.

The Chief Magistrate noted that both of the accused are known to her and as such she does not believe it is ethical for her to hear any matter before her involving the two.

The case is expected to be transferred to another Magistrate.

The two are charged with robbing the state of 163 million Guyana Dollars from a feasible study which was conducted into the New Demerara Harbour Bridge.
