FIFTY Year Old Bodram Lallboran was busted on Saturday afternoon with approximately five million in cash and another five million worth of cell phones, jewellery and household appliances after stealing two money deposit bags with ten million cash on Wednesday while on duty.

While at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, other guards who were also on the money escort van, left to uplift cash from an airline and, leaving Lallboran to stand guard at the truck with a weapon as to secure the ten million which was in the back of the van.

When the security guards returned, they realized that Lallboran was nowhere to be found and the two bags containing the ten million cash were missing. Acting on information Saturday afternoon, the police swooped down on a house at Lot 655 La Parafaite Harmony, West bank Demerara.

There they found Lallboran in the building with a large quantity of gold jewellery, mobile phones, five million cash ad number of household appliances and other items which were all brand new.

The police are of the view that the items and cash are part of the loot which the 50-year-old stole from his employer and as such the items were all confiscated and he was arrested.
