Vincente happy with Independence win for Ravens

The Ravens Basketball Club walked away the winners of the 60th Independence 3×3 Basketball tournament that concluded on Sunday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Dominic Vincente, apart of the winning team highlighted that execution was key to the win on Sunday when they defeated Eagles in the final

We executed our gameplan knowing that getting the win was necessary but we had to pay game by game, because in 3×3 anything can happen but we made sure that we held our composure throughout every game and that’s how we came out victorious,” Vincente noted

Additionally, Vincente who has been a longtime member of the Ravens expressed the feeling of Ravens being back at the top of basketball in Guyana.

I think having raves as the number one team whether 3×3 or 5×5 that is like the best thing for me. Being the captain, making sure that I steer the ship in the right direction and also coming back from injury is a plus for the team. We held firm and we made sure that we are moving forward,” Vincente shared.

Ravens won 21-14 in the final with Nikkoloi Smith scoring 47 points in six matches.
