GDF Lance Corporal and girlfriend executed in Sophia

DEAD: Daniel Fraser

A Guyana Defence Force Lance Corporal who was identified as 26 year old Daniel Fraser and his girlfriend, 23 years old Shanicka Forde were shot dead on Wednesday night in Sophia.

Fraser was identified as a resident of Lot 598 A Field Sophia while Forde is said to be residing in Barbados and was stopping at a friend since she is here in Guyana on vacation.

BIG Smith News Watch has been informed that at 23:30hrs at B Field Sophia, an unknown male armed with a handgun open fire on the two.

We were told that Daniel Fraser and Forde were sharing an intimate relationship for about two weeks. It was communicated to this publication that earlier in the night, they were having a few drinks at a shop in C Field Sophia before leaving to head home on a motorcycle.

On their way home in the vicinity of B Field, Fraser and Forde were confronted by a male on a bicycle  who discharged six rounds at Fraser and Forde and they fell on the ground.

The suspect then rode away in a western direction and escape. Fraser and Forde were picked up by Fraser’s brother and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, in a Taxi, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Fraser received one gun shot wound to his chest while Forde received three shots, one to the chest , one to her right knee and one to the right side abdomen and exited the left side Abdomen.

Six(6) .9mm spent shells and a warhead were found at the scene.
