Kyon Brown, a 44-year-old resident of 153 Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara, is among the persons who were onboard the distressed MV Barima, which sank off the coast of Essequibo between July 18 and 19, 2026, while travelling from Georgetown to Port Kaituma.

His cousin, Mya, told BIG Smith News Watch that Brown was travelling to the Region One area for work when the vessel sank.

The family is seeking information about Brown’s whereabouts as the search continues for persons missing from the MV Barima.
