Star Party Rental expands; opens $30 million Berbice branch

The Stanleytown location of Star Party Rentals

Employment for more than twenty persons in the ancient county, New Amsterdam Berbice has been cemented with an investment of approximately thirty million dollars.

Star Party Rentals which is based in Georgetown opened its regional office in Berbice over the weekend at Stanleytown.

Regional Chairman Armogan and a family member of Cush cut the ribbon to the facility

Speaking at the opening of the establishment on Saturday, Regional Chairman David Armogan who represented Ali, told a gathering that the move to bring such an establishment to Region 6 as Guyana continues to battle Covid-19 is indeed a brave business move.

He said the region has in the past been trying to have such a service at the scale that Star Party Rentals now provides since the local companies who operate similar businesses are unable to meet the demand for large tents and other requirements for major events.

The chairman expressed the view that with the investment and the presence of the new establishment, it will bring completion to the delivery of service within the field of party rentals, completion which he said would be healthy as the customers are the ones who benefit a lot from competitions.

“In this region, we have had difficulty in the past trying to get large tents and party rentals and we have never had this kind in the region. We usually depended on people in Georgetown and out of the region and at times people in Suriname would have to supply us with tents” Armogan told the gathering.

In his opening remarks, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Star party Rentals Lennox Cush said that he was constantly bombarded with calls and messages about when he was going to extend his operation to the Berbice.

He admitted that traveling to the region from Georgetown to supply services was both rewarding for his company but also costly to the customers given the distance of sourcing.

Among the items up for rental are chairs and cocktail tables

He examined that with the operations now based in Berbice, customers can see a marked reduction in what they were paying for services that came from Georgetown.

Nothing is untimely and I want Berbicians to know that I am here to stay and I started here because this is where I came from” Cush told the gathering.

He stressed that he got into the party rental business after he suffered injuries while playing cricket for Guyana abroad and knew that his injury would affect both his team and his performance so he needed to transition.

“Back in 2008 and 2009, I felt that after things got different I felt the need to divest and my good friend and father figure Looknauth Persaud is the one who made me started this… Berbicians thank you for inviting and having me and I am here to give you folks proper services” Lennox Cush concluded.

Tents, chairs, tables and other needed items for indoor and outdoor events are all being catered for by Star Party Rentals.
