MoE Launches Interactive Projects Map to Enhance Transparency

March 18, 2025 – The Ministry of Education has officially launched the Projects Map, an innovative digital platform designed to enhance transparency and public engagement by providing real-time updates on school construction projects across Guyana.
Education Minister Priya Manickchand, alongside senior ministry officials, unveiled the interactive software that allows citizens to track the progress of nursery, primary, and secondary schools, as well as dormitories, currently under construction or rehabilitation.
The Projects Map, available for public access at https://v5.education.gov.gy/all, provides key project details, including:
- Contractor’s name and contract award date
- Project cost and tender process details
- Construction start date and expected completion date
The tool also features filtering options, allowing users to search for projects based on education level, region, and type of construction.
Minister Manickchand emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring modern, safe, and high-quality learning environments for students across the country.
“This tool brings transparency to the forefront, allowing the public to monitor the progress of school construction projects in real-time,” she stated.
The launch of the Projects Map reflects the government’s dedication to strengthening educational infrastructure and ensuring public accountability in project execution. By providing an interactive, easily accessible overview of national school construction efforts, the initiative aims to foster greater public trust and engagement in the education sector.
