(Tony ‘Mix Master Tony’ Bowen)

Senior Magistrate Leron Daly on Tuesday dismissed a matter against popular Disc Jockey (DJ), Tony Bowen popularly known as “Mix Master Tony”. Last week, he was charged with disturbing the peace by playing music loudly. The Cummings Lodge, Greater Georgetown resident was released on $10,000 bail.

He made another court appearance on Tuesday when Senior Magistrate Leron Daly dismissed the matter against him on the ground that the charge is “bad in law.” The Police had alleged that the 26-year-old on July 3, 2021, at Lot 1 Durey Lane, Campbellville, Georgetown, disturbed the peace by playing loud music.

It was reported that on the day in question, Tony was working at Taco Loco, when the police arrived and accused him of disturbing the peace.  This was after residents in the area called the Police station and complained about extremely loud music coming from the venue.

The DJ was later arrested and charged.
